This program provides for curbside recycling pick up by our Department of Public Works on designated Thursdays as follows:

EAST SIDE – 1ST & 3RDThursday | WESTSIDE – 2nd & 4TH Thursday

‍SOLID WASTE/TRASH PROGRAM
Trash is picked up for the EAST SIDE on Tuesday and for the WEST SIDE on Wednesday.

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE PROGRAM

This program provides for the proper disposal of solvents, chemicals, paint, pesticides, syringes, or sharps. All material must be taken to the County Collection sites.

COMPOSTING PROGRAM
The Borough of Somerdale’s Green Committee is currently putting a composting program together that will education resident on composing fruits, vegetables, and yard trimmings in your own backyard to produce a great soil additive, or use a worm composting bin for composting vegetable food wastes using red worms.
