NOTICE 

              The Borough of Somerdale shall sell at public auction on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 9:00 am at the Borough Hall, 105 Kennedy Blvd., Somerdale, NJ 08083 real property known as Block 137.10  Lot 18.03 and Block 137.10 Lot 19.01 (Parcel 1) and Block 129.02 Lot 2.01 (Parcel 2) subject to the conditions set forth below:

              For both parcels the Borough reserves the right to reject all bids and requires the property only be used for single family residential use.  Settlement will take place within 30 days of Borough Council accepting the bids at which time the Borough will provide a deed in exchange for payment of the balance of the bid.  A high bidder shall be required to post 10% of the bid amount by cash or certified check at the close of the auction.  

 For Parcel 1 the minimum bid shall be $16,000.   For Parcel 1 the successful bidder shall be required to consolidate the two lots and construct a two story single-family home of at least 2,000 square feet in a style consistent with the recent home construction in the neighborhood.

              For Parcel 2 the minimum bid shall be $40,000.  For Parcel 2 the successful bidder shall  be required to construct a single-family home consistent with homes in the neighborhood.

              For both Parcels the Deeds provided by the Borough shall include reverter clauses that provide that in the event homes are not constructed within 18 months of the date of settlement, the ownership of the property will revert to the Borough at which time the Borough will refund funds paid at settlement but not the initial deposit.  Any time constraints herein may be extended by Borough Council for good cause.
