NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Notice is hereby given that bids will be received by the Borough of Somerdale for Solid Waste Disposal Services, for the Borough of Somerdale, in the County of Camden, New Jersey and will be opened and read, in public, at the Somerdale Borough Municipal Building, 105 Kennedy Boulevard, Somerdale, New Jersey, 08083 on August 26, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. EDT. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27), Public Contracts Law N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq. and all other applicable Federal, State, County and Borough laws, rules and regulations.

Specifications and form of bids; prepared by Gregory B. Fusco, P.E., P.P., C.M.E., C.P.W.M., Borough Engineer; have been filed at the Borough Clerk’s Office at the Somerdale Borough Municipal Building, 105 Kennedy Boulevard, Somerdale, New Jersey, 08083. Copies of the specifications and standard forms will be furnished on application to the Borough Clerk and payment of the cost of preparation, which is NOT refundable. All bidders are responsible for obtaining complete bid documentation from the above-listed address. To obtain a copy of the Specifications, please contact Michele D. Miller, R.M.C., Borough Clerk at 856-783-6230, Extension 3300. In the event of any inconsistencies between advertisement, as published, and the bid documentation, the bid documentation shall control.

Bids must be made on the standard proposal forms in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope with the name and address of the bidder and “Bid for Solid Waste Disposal Services, Borough of Somerdale” on the outside, addressed to Michele D. Miller, R.M.C., Borough Clerk, Somerdale Borough Municipal Building, 105 Kennedy Boulevard, Somerdale, New Jersey, 08083 and accompanied by a bid bond, cashier’s check or certified check for not less than 10% of the amount, said amount determined by multiplying the bid price for Item Number 1 (Year 1) in Option Number 1 by 2,500 tons, not to exceed $20,000, payable to the Borough of Somerdale. The proposal shall be accompanied by all forms provided in the Proposal Section of the Specifications or to be submitted by the Bidder and listed in the Checklist. Bidders must comply with the State of New Jersey “Certificate of Registration” as required by the “Public Works Contractor Registration Act” and the State of New Jersey Business Registration Certificate issued by the State of New Jersey Division of Revenue as required by N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 and Public Law 2004, Chapter 57.

The Borough reserves the right to reject any and all (a) if the Proposal forms have not been properly executed, (b) if the prices are obviously unbalanced, (c) if acknowledgements of the addenda of the specifications or other contract documents are not submitted with the bid, and,

(d) if the Consent of Surety is not properly submitted and (e) it is deemed to do so in the best interest of the Borough.
